I vow this month to take care of my skin and get enough sleep. I lack sleep because I have a late class every night. I enjoy it so much but it's taking its toll on my skin. My eyes look deep and dark, and if I put a little eyeliner and it gets smudge-I would look like a raccoon. Hahaha..A sleepy raccoon.

Anyway, I think my Pond'd morning cream doesn't work well anymore and my Maybelline loose powder makes my skin looks dry. I will try the Human Nature night collagen cream to see if my skin will be better and I bought a Human Nature toner for oily skin to see if it will eliminate oil in my oily skin. (I have some breakouts lately and St. Ive's can't even stop it!haist) I just hope my skin will be back to it's normal self. How can I look presentable if my skin looks so dull? I've tried many products and I hope this new cream and toner will give me remarkable result so that my search will be over. Waaahhh...Now, I have to sleep or else I will yawn the whole morning in the office. Ciao!!!

TOTORO

I am not really sure about this but this cartoon character lights up my mood every time I see it. My boss introduced me to Totoro. He said that all the kids in Japan knows Totoro, so I should also be familiar with him. He's cute and only kids can see him. I wonder what powers does he have? I just wish I could be a child again..No problems and no worries. You can play all day and just sleep when you are tired. =)

I have known you for like more than three months now. Your family's been good to me and I can't even believe that it is easy to deal with people like you. I have been very timid before and admittedly, I have some negative thoughts about your kind. I just to let you know(in case you read this blog!) that I have been so happy for the past months that I have talked to you and your family. Your sister and mother are very kind. I feel so happy every time I finish talking to them and they say nice things to me. This is the most wonderful part of being a teacher and I will always treasure this all my life. My greatest dream now is to go to your country and meet your sister and your mother. I just hope it will come true.

You told me the other night that I might ran away. I want to tell you that very minute that I will not because it just very hard to let go now. Sometimes if you become very comfortable, it becomes part of your system. I want to say to you that after three months of talking, I still get jitters every time you booked my class and every time we talk. hahahaha..Crazy right? BOOK ADDICTION

I know this book addiction of mine should come to an end soon. I mean, not literally end it but my addiction for paper bound, hard bound and whatever physical books I have in hand. E-books are the IN thing now and sooner or later, I will probably have my own tablet(char!) to browse or read e-books online. Arrrgggh, I am just not so good at reading e-books or just my excuse to keep my very dear books with me. I have a copy of the Twilight series e-book and I think it's been more than a year with me already. The funny thing is, I haven't even finish the Twilight part yet.hahahaha. So tamad!! I just can't let go of the feeling of bringing a thick book with you or reading a very cute book in a cafe or whatever place comfortable. I feel so nerdy or probably smart whenever I carry a book in my hand. Feeling!!

So far, I have ten books from Booksale and unfortunately, I have read only three of them. Okay, I am a hoarder but I have to defend myself. I am just a bookworm who fortunately, saw some books that are priced so cheap that you can't resist them. Okay, take for example the book titled Michelle(Michelle Obama). I bought it for Php45 only. Now, who would resist that??

Anyway, to make this book addiction of mine stop. I guess, I should stop my sudden urge to go to Booksale. I have to read the books and finish it before I buy a new one. Arrrrggghhh. Now, that's difficult. I just hope I'll have the willpower..I'll just keep you posted guys on the books I already read. Ciao!!!

Hilary’s debut- made new friends and helped me realized my potential as an events organizer
Singapore e-mail: made me realize that I can actually work there and explore the city
Genetics Computer: helped me in discovering other areas of computer graphics. It made me want to learn more about graphics, web designing and video.
Family outing in EDEN: made my family happy and took time out from the stressful work
Good health and body in the way of the Cross: I make sure I participate in it every year. Thank GOD for the good health and body during the Way of the Cross.
Summer Outing in Maxima: It was so fun and we were so happy. I am happy to participate in this.
ABREEZA: Thank GOD for ABREEZA…Now, it’s nearer and very convenient to shop pretty things in DAVAO.
NESTLE Film Anthology: I made me ponder on life and the little lessons the movie gave me. I am happy to share it with a good friend, Glecyl who was very supportive in everything.
Red Ribbon of documents: I didn’t really use them but I know that it will help me next year.
New international friends: They make me closer to where they are. I am happy when I receive some of their messages and I am excited and looking forward to seeing some of them here in Davao.
Part time job: It’s probably one of the best blessings I have received this year. I have waiting for this for years? And finally I meet some good friends through this while earning.
Blog opportunities: My blog friends multiplied through blogging and I am happy that I have also earned ample amount for this year. I love every moment in blogging.
Friends: This year, I had the chance to meet friends from different groups. Attended Lorna’s wedding and chitchat the whole night. I miss you guys!!mwaaahh!! I also attended Loise’s wedding and meet the whole gang. My LCRMD friend also makes me sane and alive every day. I couldn’t thank them enough for the laughs and the not-very-boring day at work. I will treasure my friends and they are every day blessings.
Travel solo: I am really proud of what I did. I am really looking forward for my next adventure. I love myself more and I am surprise of what I am capable of. AJA!!
Parents: When no one listens, they are there. My best friend and confidante. I’ll treasure them and won’t trade them for anything in the world.

I know there are still lots of things to be thankful for. I just hope that we should look at the brighter side of 2011. I am very happy that I came out of 2011 very blessed though with some tough times but I am still alive!!!I just hope 2012 will turn out well for me. I am so excited for no obvious reason but I am just setting my mind that something very good is coming my way. Thank you Lord for all of the things you have let me experience and all the blessings. MY MIND BLABBING!!

It’s been a while since my last movie review. Just in time for the holidays, I have been planning to stimulate my mind through watching meaningful movies and maybe some tragic love story in between. Yes, call me emo or very melodramatic but I guess it goes well with the chilly and no-one-around-to-hug season. Anyway, to make this very lengthy introduction a little lengthy, I decided to download some movies online. I downloaded One Day, P.S. I Love You, Lost in Translation, Great Expectations and Never Let Me Go. Okay, now here is the part where I explain why I downloaded them. I have always been curious about One Day and Never Let Me Go because of their bestselling books, while P.S. I Love You and Lost in Translation came in mind when I stumbled upon them on Youtube and lastly, Great Expectations has great memories. I have always loved the movie ever since high school. I want to watch all over again. Enough said, I am very much into movies now. It makes my brain steady for a few minutes after doing some talking on Skype. Recently, my mind’s going hay wired that I cannot simply shut it out especially if I am in deep thoughts. It speaking in English and it makes me want to blurt it out but of course I can’t or I might look foolish talking to myself. I am so into talking in English lately that even my mind speaks and talks and even answers on its own. Hahahaha. I am not crazy or anything but I probably my mind is so active that I sometimes need to talk it out or write it in my blog-which I am doing right now. hehehehe.

I’d probably blame this situation I am to a person who is equally very entertaining and interesting to talk to. He is a typical guy but he loves to talk about anything and my golly, he has lots of vocabulary words than I am. He is very stimulating and very deep like a massage to an aching body. Hahahaha, bad metaphor!! I like it when he speaks his mind and talks about anything and then making it into something interesting. I can talk to him probably the whole day and all night without getting bored. (Of course, I haven’t tried this one yet!) He is very vocal and very straightforward in his thoughts. I like it but sometimes I get irritated when he talks about how poor our country is. Aarrrggggh! Aside from that, no other issues though. You might be thinking I am smitten. Yes, probably I am but never in my wildest dream that it will become a reality. Admit it gals-there is only two types of person we tend to fall for-the funny guy and the smart guy and the other things just follows. Whatever situation I am in right now, I just hope it will make me happy in the long run. Sometimes, I don’t care if I am broke or sad or ugly as long as I can speak my mind. I hope he will not get tired talking to me or me getting tired of him. I am excited to go home today. Hahahaha…What can I say? I think it is already an addiction.

MISSING SINGAPURA

It's almost a month since I've been to Singapore. I am missing every single moment I am there. I super enjoyed my trip that I even sent a message to a friend that "I want to live here..."hehehe...I know it's just a spur of a moment message but I am missing Singapore now. Hmmm..Now, I am thinking of things that I miss the most. One, I miss riding MRT in Singapore because there is no MRT in Davao...wahahaha..soo simple!! I also miss walking and the very humid weather of Singapore..Nah, it's my other self that is saying this-I'm just kidding. It's super hot in Singapore and that is one thing I hate the most..hehehe. I miss Hookien Mee( Fried Prawn Noodles), Bak Kut Teh( now, I remember I bought some Bak Kut Teh mix but I forgot where I placed it.*sad face*) and Food Republic in Wisma Astria and Vivo City. I am imagining the food right now.hehehe.

I miss the crazy-fast-paced-snob-robot-like-fashionable environment of Singapore. I miss the smell of curry and other spices in different places in Singapore. I definitely going back and please watch out for my future blog post on my quirkyalone trip. I am loving Singapura!!!

LOVING 28!!

This year will probably be the most adventure year of me yet. For one, I am determined to get my goals and I am slowly realizing them. Last November 07, 2011, I made the most daring and risky decision to travel alone on my birthday. Yes, you are probably thinking-I am crazy but I don't really care at all. It actually started when I scheduled my leave on my birthday. I decided to spend on something remarkable.

I decided to book a trip to Singapore. I am a bit excited when I did it but also afraid of what I am going to experience there. So, the date and the trip was set. Only few chosen friends know where I am going on my birthday. I know my parents were a bit scared but they had a feeling too that I am going to be okay. I felt so independent and mature that time. I had to do it for the reason that I want to feel what it's like to be alone in a very highly urbanized country. I am actually hitting many birds that time. I wanted to travel alone, check. I wanted to travel abroad, check. I want to feel what Singapore life is, check and I want to feel independence, check.

Now I realize that if you don't do it then you can't really say how difficult or easy it is. You should experience it. I felt so alive and recharge after doing it. I am sure that I can take on the world and I can do things unimaginable. As of this moment, I am still in awe with myself. I can't even believe that I actually did that.hehehe. Some people I know told me that I am so gutsy, some even said that I am so crazy and some people said that they envy me so much. Whatever they think about what I did, I can say to them that I am proud of what I did...hhmmmm...a good friend of mine asked me.."so now that you are had tried traveling alone, where will you go next time?"...Actually, I have no idea yet but I am thinking of another Asian country..hehehe..

FASCINATION WITH ASIAN

Admittedly, I am fascinated with anything Korean..I thought it would be the end of it but I guess not. I am not only fascinated with anything Korean now but also Japanese..waaaahhh. It started when I was teaching English to Japanese and I am so fascinated how very dedicated they are with their work. so workaholic and social life. Okay, that's not fascinating but very interesting.hehehe

I am fascinated with the Japanese language. Now, I want to study Japanese and maybe study in Japan on a scholarship...waaaaahhhh!!!Asianovela fever kaayo!!!

I keeping my fingers crossed and hoping to visit these places soon..Konichiwa Japan and Anyyeong Korea!!!^__^

MY HEAVEN FOR RETAIL HELL

This is one hilarious book. It took me almost two months to finish because for the simple reason that-I don't want to finish it yet. Good thing, I'm through with this book(because I am reading a new book-Woman, Work and Savior Faire by Mireille Guillano) But I'll talk about it next time.

I wasn't supposed to buy this book. I saw this book in my favorite affordable bookstore, Booksale but I ignored it. I remembered the title well and I saw that the cover is so intriguing but then again-I left it. Next thing I know, I am at the Abreeza scouring the books at Fully Booked. I must admit the books are so varied and appealing that you will be like a kid in a candy store. I love them all but...a big BUT..they are so expensive. I can't blame them. They have the widest selection of books. I was busy looking around when, lo and behold...RETAIL HELL by Freeman Hall.

I was shocked to know that it cost around PHP600. My jaw dropped and while I was reading it-I had an instant LOL mood on the book.(Of course, not really loud or they might think I am crazy.hahaha.) You know what I did? I immediately rushed to Booksale and bought the same book for only PHP75. Now, that's LOL.

I wasn't disappointed at all. Maybe if I bought the book at PHP600-I would feel still the same. The story is about a homo guy who works in a famous retail store. His adventure with the customers where hilarious and even his comments are very LOL. This book is a good stress reliever. I might share this to one of my gay friends. I just hope they can relate to the sales thing..

ON THE ROAD

A journey to a place unknown and new to me. I am going alone. I am a bit excited but also a bit scared. I pray that everything will be okay. I am trying my best to be strong for my dreams to be realized. I am so dependent in my family and would love to try to be independent for a few days. BRAVING THE ONLINE

I am recently adjusting my time at night for jobs that entail online focus and not wandering around Facebook. I had problems with my teeny weeny net book in Skype but I managed to get by with a little panic and craziness in between. So much for that introduction. I am teaching online and I guess I need a handful of Asians to complete my Asianovela cast.

I have Chinese students whom I teach IELTS-which by the way, I don't even have experience in. Yes, that's what I call gutsy. It sounds interesting and I am very eager to learn but my experience says otherwise. haist! I actually shows in the manner I speak or talk to them. My first class today gave me chills not because of fear but because of frustration. She commented that she can't adapt to me. What? Adapting is not the right word girl. You probably mean you can't understand me. hahaha. I get it now, but she told my trainer otherwise. She told my trainer that I didn't help her and there is long silence between us. WTH? Anyway, I am not giving up on these Chinese kids. Wait 'till I am better and I'll teach you what IELTS is all about. I guess I need to practice more and be confident next time. Whatever!(good thing my trainer is soo patient and understanding.)

I also have a Japanese student with his mom who regularly talks to me online. Of course they paid me. I won't go talking about blah blah blah without earning something. One thing I like about the class is that it is conversational in nature. We can talk anything we want and for as long as 1 hour. The Chinese class pays very well but I am loving the Japanese set up. No pressure, just plain talk and with sense. I don't know how long this will last but I am pretty sure that I'm in as long as it wants my professional skills.(ehem!) Until now, I can't still get over the Chinese kid I taught a while ago. I pity her because she didn't like me but I felt sorry for myself too for not making the mark. I discovered Booksale, the perfect store in the city that sold books that are cheaper than the ones in the malls. I bought Retail Hell for only P40( retailed at P600 in Fully Booked) and Chasing Harry Winston for only P60 (retailed at P400 in National Bookstore). Nice deal isn't it?

Not only am I addicted to books but any reading materials like magazines and even newspapers. When I have time, I like to read them from the beginning to end. COFFEE UPDATE

Just in case you might be wondering what happened to my fascination with coffee, well....it turned out good. Not really excellent or superb but just good. I would like to reason out on that and I blame it on my early morning walk and early wake up call. I hate mornings but I love coffee..hehehe..So, to make it work I tried to wake up and I did have my fill of the much coveted McDo coffee.

Though it sounds crazy but I like their coffee but with two creamer and three small packets of sugar, in short like a Nescafe 3 in 1. I know you may think that I should have bought Nescafe instead-but it taste different...maybe because of the Arabica blend that they boast of. Hmmm..I can still imagine it's aroma and creamy taste. Anyway, it costs P25(but mine's free) for an 8oz cup and very good to wake up your sleepy nerves. hehehe. Well, it's nothing to boast of but I usually try food to see if they taste good and this made me realize that it's not bad like the Dunkin Donuts coffee(OOpppss!!!). So far, I can now change my usual hot choco into coffee every time I eat breakfast at McDonalds.(just don't ran out of creamer and sugar or else end up restless). Ciao Pips!!!

COFFEE FREAK

A certified coffee freak-one word that would describe me when it comes to my relationship with coffee. I have this certain attachment with coffee. One reason it keeps me awake during sleepy hours. I don't really care if it is just Nescafe 3 in 1 or gourmet coffee as long as it keeps me awake. Another is that it really satisfies my sweet tooth especially with coffee blended drinks. I love the different tastes it brings to my mouth.

I recently heard that Mcdonald's will offer free coffee from August 8 to 12. My eyes beamed with excitement but the bad news is it's only available at 4am-10am...Haist, what am I gonna do? I only have tomorrow to avail the promo. I have to get that coffee or else...hmmmm...I will pay for the coffee next time I go to Mcdo and maybe...end up frustrated?(well so much for excuses). I guess I'll just blame myself for not trying the coffee tomorrow and I should associate it with laziness. It's difficult to wake up on a rainy cold morning and just the word of that makes me want to cuddle back in bed. huhuhu. By the way, I only have two coupons in bag right now. I didn't ate breakfast this morning but made myself my usual morning drink, Energen. I saw the Nescafe brown n' creamy and decided to mix it with Energen. Boy, it was really YUMMY...hehehe. It looks like my morning drink will be a little bit expensive than before. I suggest though that if you try it, put half of the Energen and Nescafe then mix...set aside the remaining half for tomorrow's use...hehehe..Try it guys, it will wake you up because of the coffee and make you full because of the cereal...YUMMY...

It's my first entry for RED HOT MONDAYS but I am looking forward for more. My entry for this week is missing the kids in the office and being a kid again.

When Mr. Quimbo was our CEO, we had to celebrate Halloween with kids and be like a kid again. We had our own Halloween costumes to match the kids in the office doing their rounds for trick or treat. The office looked gloomy and very bright red.

This is me clowning around with a corpse(though not a real corpse). I had a fiery red headdress to match the office theme.

JAPANESE FILM FESTIVAL

It would be a very rare opportunity to watch movies from other country but knowing that it's a Japanese film, I got excited. I have always been fascinated with Japanese culture-their food, music, fashion and even movies. My excitement stopped upon learning that I have a seminar to attend this Saturday and I will meet up with friends for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 2. I also learned that the movie, Departures won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film at the 81st Oscars in 2009. It also captured the Japanese moviegoers and made its earnings to almost $61 million.

I am so confused right now and the best way to watch this is on Sunday. I'll probably convince my parents to accompany me. It's okay not to watch Departures than not to watch at all. hehehe...Hope you can drop by Gaisano Grand Citimall Davao on the following dates and time:

TRAVEL TO BOND

I have always wanted to travel with my family and it happened last September 2009. Our first time in Cebu and I am so excited with the idea that we are going together to relax and enjoy Cebu.

This is my parents before boarding the plane. It's my mother's first time to ride a plane but I bet she's very excited because of the excitement on her face.

Went to Semala, Cebu to visit the Virgin Mary Shrine. Here with relatives from Carcar, Cebu who accompanied us on our trip. I already miss them so much.

My parents and I in Ayala Cebu. We love Ayala so much and we want to come back again and enjoy their chain of al fresco restaurants.

My parents in two of Cebu's famous landmarks, the Cebu Provincial Capitol and Magellan's Cross. I just hope my parents had a great time during that trip and felt relaxed after that. I would love to go back to Cebu with my parents again but maybe with a Bohol trip to top that.

One can learn so much with every places he/she visits. For me, I learned so much and also enjoyed some quality time with my parents.

Some people resist change while other pray for change. I don't usually resist change but I just air out my views on a certain situation. I adapt well easily but I sometimes pray for change. At this very moment, I am expecting change. I am expecting it for myself and not for everyone. I just need a new air to breathe with. A new perspective and also a new experience.

One will always have a situation in their life where they will take risk or sacrifice. I am not fearless nor coward but I can always do the things unexpectedly. That is what I am feeling now. I want to be free but be sure of one's decision. I want to explore but wants to be productive. I am not getting any younger but I am still aggressive when it comes to spur of the moment decisions. I just hope I won't end up frustrated.

I know I have yet to try this one in August but the thought of it, I am so excited and happy. I bought a coupon for a burger purchase at Offbeat Cafe in Makati. I am so happy because I have been reading so much about this cafe.

The Krispy Kreme burger may sound weird but nonetheless, unique. I will really blog about my experience on that burger. Can't wait for August. One thing also made me happy is using my Paypal account to pay for the coupon. I guess I'd better get back to blogging to utilize Mr. Paypal on my coupons. I love it super...

MOOD SWINGS

I am still in my late 20's but I think I am experiencing mood swings. Let me just call it at that because lately I felt that I am happy in most days but happiness comes with a price. I also feel so sad and so demotivated to the point that I am crying. Super emotional mode.

This past days, I felt good and super excited but a friend of mine told me that my supervisor overheard that she is talking about me with the other department supervisor. I felt bad and sad because it may mean trouble. Everyday....I feel so paranoid and to the point that I feel that my friends are not talking to me anymore and they are talking behind my back. I hate it!

I felt so alone and so negative inside. Am I that bad to them or they don't want to be bad(that is why they are avoiding me)?
Up to this moment, I feel so weird...I just hope that it's just me and my weird mind but I hope that everything will be fine.I am so moody now...I am crying now...

TRANSFORMERS 3: DARK OF THE MOON

Last weekend, I got the chance to watch Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon. I wasn't expecting anything because it might frustrate me. I wouldn't miss this especially because I have watched the first two Transformers(and it never failed me.) I was like a kid that day waiting patiently for my turn in the line. The moment, I was inside the movie house, the excitement kicked in. This is it!What would it be all about? Are there new characters to watch out for?I'm so thrilled.

I began to understand what happen to Cybertron(the world of Decepticons and Autobots). Their past were revealed and as the movie progresses, I learned that they still want to regain their lost world, the Cybertron in our own world. Through the help of Optimus Prime, he bought back to life Sentinel Prime-the head of the Autobots. Then chaos on earth starts to happen but it's up to the Autobots led by Optimus Prime to help the humankind.

I love how the characters also changed but my favorite Bumblebee still has the kick ass yellow Chevy Camaro. I like Optimus Prime's armory built along with his truck. Cool and awesome. I began to realize as the movie goes on that my favorite twins, Mudflap and Skids are missing. Later on, they were presented as workers in the aircraft. They still never stop arguing and talking. Sooo funny. Michael also replaced Megan Fox with Rosie Hutington-Whiteley. I am starting to like and along the way, I forgot abut Megan. hahaha.

Overall, the movie's great but the plot is still like the second part. The effects never fails to amaze me and one thing, I cried when Bumblebee was about to be executed...I will really miss him if he will die in one of the Transformers film.(I really hope Michael Bay won't do it.) In the end, the Autobots saved the day and Optimus Prime led the way.

ABREEZA WALK

I am so excited with the newest mall in Davao City, Abreeza. I had the most tiring mall marathon ever. My officemates went after office hours and looked around. We saw may stores like Debenhams, Aldo, Esprit, La Senza and much more. Boy, my eyes did have fun but my legs ached. My stomach also complained after a few hours of walking and it's not even part of my plan to dine in one of the food stalls. I am so overwhelmed and felt like I'm in a different place and time. The place didn't fail me and I am so excited for the upcoming stores that will open soon. For the meantime, I am already eyeing a pair of shoes in Payless...and better grab that one soon..see you around Abreeza...Ciao!

HAPPY CAMPING

I have always dreamt of camping and communing with nature. The activity makes it very worthwhile especially with family and friends. Making bonfires, fishing and even telling ghost stories when the night ends. I am thinking of roasting marshmallows while swapping stories but when the nights ends, everyone should have a good night sleep.

One thing that one should check on camping is the cabin.Log cabins should be very comfortable and complete with amenities that the family can enjoy. A cozy fireplace is one and neatly arranged beds should be available for families especially with kids. Now, I am imagining a wonderful cabin with a warm rug on the floor and hot chocolate in hand. When will the next camping be? I think I should check on my schedule...

After a few days of watching I am Legend, I am already loving the main character, Solen Jung. A very positive lady and makes every negative situation-happy. I want that kind of attitude(yes, I always smile and laugh) but sometimes when things get worst, I tend to break down or sometimes get mad. I want to make something of myself and take chances. I am already facing a situation where I have to choose to stagnant or grow.

I hate to leave things that I am comfortable with behind but judging by the recent sudden changes, I ponder upon letting go. I have been asking signs since last year but I think some of the signs are already there. I now facing the situation wherein I should acknowledge them or just ignore or maybe yet ask another sign. I am ready to take chances but till then I would have to say..let's just wait till June 30 ends..(Hope I will be making the right decision).

I learned so much about this word in my Marketing class, way back in college. My professor told us that sometimes a word can have different meanings or sometimes a sentence. One should say-no pun intended to tell someone that it has no other meaning.

Today, I suddenly remembered this word when I encountered a situation where a person reacted on a word that is commonly used in the area. She asked to refrain answering that word because it has a different meaning. I was shocked...I began to question why and certain thoughts came into my mind like "is she really thinking about that when we answer like that everyday?". It's funny because that person involved is someone mature and should deal with the word professionally. I really want to frown and laugh at the same time...It sounded like a joke in the office because someone answered back and got what she was really referring to. It sounded weird.

Before I made this post, I instantly look up the word because I knew that both word is spelled differently but pronounced the same. Yes, according to my research...it's entirely different. It's just how the person thinks it is and how it used in a sentence. Now I strongly believe there's nothing wrong with it. So, from this day forward....I am still gonna use the word. Better look up the word first before reacting...okay? I will just make you look so mature in content(pun intended)=)

KILLING THE ONLINE TIME

I sometimes feel that online life is very boring as well as reality..hehehe. Facebook isn't that exciting anymore but I get to connect with friends that is why I go online. After Facebook, whatever I fancy that day...it will be next. If I want to look at fashion sites, I usually devote my time in sites like People, Instyle and Lucky. If I also get a little creative, I go to Looklet, Littlemissdressup and Streetpeeper. Those sites I really go to from time to time and by the way, I also like Stylebible(I almost forgot this Philippine fashion site.)

On days that I feel so patient, I go to a movie site where I can watch free movies and even download it. I don't download though especially movies because they say it contains more that it has.(hope you get what I mean..)

Today, I feel blah and I want to let my heart jump...hahaha..not the happy jump though.I am watching Scream 4. Just by the title, it means horror...I really love this and would love to watch this over and over again..It's my high school scary movie and now, it's back. Hope to jump...(with pun intended) Ciao!

When did this started? I would probably list all the wonderful memories of our love-hate relationship before...I developed my teeny weeny infatuation of you-the moment I rode with you on the tricycle.(you'd freak out by now if you read this..hahaha, I can't really figure out how to say this but for the meantime-while preparing for my courageous speech..let me just post it here)=)

Had to lend you a P10 before just to be part of the Dancesport Group but you didn't kept your promise...instead we had a tag of "hair" war just to get my P10...good thing my hair's strong..hehehe. You also persuade me to take the AdDU exam because you already had your schedule..(I thought, how sweet!) You helped me out but in the end, our schedules are not the same..haaayyy. Due probably of your frustration of the schedules, you ask me to walk to the school gate first and pretend we didn't arrive together. Gosh, I hate you for that..but then again after a few days..you looked amazing again.(cheshire cat grin)

Fast forward to college days, I never had news about you but I know that you are studying in school that your mother wants..hahaha. (You even asked me to study at the nearby school...what were you thinking that time?)

Just in time for my new job in Loveland...you invited me out but you let me pay...(I forgot my little infatuation of you that time and felt that it's a friendly gesture to do so..)We met up and my golly, you awaken that sleeping heart of mine...it went restless and nevertheless...I will always remember that day. We had endless talks on the phone that time and I will always treasure that.

Now your in a country that's camels exist...(not on the wandering on the roads though) and we had this little communication in a social networking site called Facebook.(Thank you, Mr. Zuckerberg) I just go on wondering if what it would be like to say this all to you. I can't even have the courage to say or even pinch your cheeks(FYI: I promised myself to pinch you the day I see you again) last April 11. I am still looking forward to seeing you again and will be holding on to the promise that we will eat out. Maybe, during that time I can say all the things I want to say..I miss you right now and will still be missing you-unless your Facebook account says "It's complicated or In a relationship".(sad face)

CRAVING FOR DURIAN

I am craving durian right now. As in now!!! I'll never get enough of durian even though they say it cause high blood pressure. This time of the year if Araw ng Dabaw and you can see durian in the sidewalks but the price is a bit expensive compared to Kadayawan Festival in August....(though I don't know how long I can withstand the craving.hehehe)

I can already smell them around me and just one smell of it makes me crave. haaaayyyy...I hope I can successfully get through this craving...(now what will I buy- will it be canyao???or duco?? or perhaps the native kind??-hehehe)ciao!

I am struggling and I am also reviving my site just to reap the promise of earning through Goggle ads. I am also helping some Filipinos because of the jobs I post in my other blog but I get so lazy sometimes that I neglect it. I feel so drain and I don't know what to do. I am soul searching but I don't know where to start.

I have tried going to the gym before-it did made me hyper after work but going to the gym makes my budget ruined. hahaha. I don't know what I really need right now. My career is going elsewhere. I don't have a sizzling lovelife and a wonderful after work gimiks. I want to go on vacation but taking a vacation leave is way out of my list.(one, because I'm scheduled to go on leave on November and second, I should write our boss a letter-if ever I am going to change it.) I am going to Eden by next week to accompany a relative(but I don't know if I'll ever enjoy it due to time constraints.) I just pray that I will feel revived after the nature get away.

By the way, I cry when I am sad, angry, disappointed and happy. Call me a cry baby but I don't expect you to judge me if I cry. I'll cry if I want to and I'll be laughing as long as I am happy. I am also good at pretending. Sometimes I looked okay but I am not. I am sorry if hurt you when I am in a bad mood. I didn't mean that. Some other factors make me crazy and lost.(hehehe) like the recent news and also the different news in the office. I heard so many stories about this remake from the 1968 series of the same title. I became giddy when I learned that AXN will air the series on November 14. Well, think of it as CSI/NCIS but in Hawaii. Cop drama, detective episodes and maybe hot guys and girls(?).

I am crossing my fingers that I will like the series. I love CSI but not NCIS(eventhough the actors are hotter than those in the CSI)...hehehe.

Couldn't help but relate to the blog topic but a comment like that made me wonder who it was pertaining to.

Was that meant for the person in the topic or the person who bullied the person in the topic?

The registration was so easy that I immediately registered my blog and waited for it to be activated.

For as long as I could remember, I have been busy trying to understand computers and its other uses aside from research and communicating. Fortunately, I began to understand others uses of computer and technology in terms of making money, social media, and internet marketing through blogger friends. I had so much fun learning and the learning doesn't just stop. It goes on and one and then you get tired. Sometimes, you just wish that everything you want to know is all in one website.

I stumbled upon free widgets site, free online marketing strategy site, free search engine optimization tutorial site and also free making money online site. All of these are information overload and sometimes, you don't easily get what they really mean. Then you begin to feel hay wired. Recently, a site suggestion popped out in my screen. The CqWen site offers more than just SEO tips. It also offers WordPress tips and my favorite Adobe Dreamweaver tutorial. I felt giddy like a child at a candy shoppe.

I began browsing their site and check on the internet and money tab. There is so many things to learned and getting around the site is very easy. I got hooked on their money topics and began to understand what internet marketing is. Just when I thought I knew more about making money, I checked on their SEO blog. Now, I finally found what I have been looking for my personal blog. It helped me in optimizing my site and getting more traffic on my blog site. How cool is that? I really like their simple approach on the topic and they don't make the topic sound so complicated even though they have computer terms in them. I hurriedly bookmarked the site so that I can visit it everyday to learn more and share it to my blogger friends in order to help them in their blog sites.

I love computers but when it comes to technical terms and stuff, I am very illiterate(if that is the right word to describe it.) I tried widening my computer vocabulary but sometimes information overload hits me and the next thing I know is, I am having a headache due to unfamiliar terms. I came upon a product which a friend of mine recommended.

The BalanceNG - The Software Load Balancer is a wonderful product to use in load balancing. He explained that it had made his networking easier and it can be configured easily. I trusted his explanation on the product but technically, I don't understand the some computer terms. In the end, he convinced me to come by his house and see how the product works and will probably purchase one online.

An office mate commented that I looked chubbier now than before. She asked me what happened and I couldn't find any decent answer except for I ate without thinking. Hehehe. Lately, I have had cravings for certain foods like KFC Krushers-the Berry Banana variety, Durian fruit, and chicken. I ate pizza in the office and all sorts of sweets.

I later found out that I am gaining pounds. Huhuhu.I alaways wanted to start the GM diet program but no willpower. I am trying to control my cravings now and hopefully lose weight ASAP.

I have been dying to study fashion designing ever since college. Too bad I can't even afford the fashion school here in the Philippines. I have dreaming after college graduation to go abroad and study fashion designing(Too much for wishful thinking). Now, I'm already at the point where hope is very dim. In order to satisfy my hunger for fashion and everything girly...I studied dressmaking.

Its my initial step into making myself satisfied and be contented in what I can only achieve. Technically in my opinion, one should understand dressmaking before fashion designing. So in order to become one with the people who makes the clothes, you must understand the maker of the clothes. Well I don't know...basta it's just my opinion. I am excited every weekend and the lessons our teacher will teach us. My goal is not only to understand fashion but also to learn the intricacy of the business of dressmaking and maybe become a domesticated homemaker in the future.hehehehe. My name was supposed to be Harry Krisna or Hannah Lowella. If I can talk that time, I could have choose one of them. Its not that I don't like my name but it sounds simple. The reason I got Shieryl because my father thought that I can't spell my name right if I had two names. My last name is hard to spell and I think it is also one of the reasons I got Shieryl as my first name.

I have always wanted two names and I have been listing my favorite ones like Zoe, Milan, Sinead(yes, it's from Sinead O'Connor), Blair(from Gossip Girl) , Serene(and again from Serena in Gossip Girl) and the two names above-which is supposed to be mine...

I started to be hooked with Keeping up with the Kardashians. I heard this from an officemate that this series is so hilarious and crazy. I really love reality shows because it shows the crazy side of a celebrity and will make us realize that there even crazier than us. I began following the crazy but ultra stylish Kardashian sisters in Velvet. There all soo sexy and very unique in their different personalities. I like Khloe's sexy personality and she has no inhibitions at all. She's very blunt and she talks dirty which I don't really like.

I like Kim's sweet personality and her very compose attitude. So sexy too. I love her body soo much. Her body fits well with her face, that's so pretty. Her sister Kourtney is also sweet but sometimes gets too weak when it comes to Scott. Crazy but sexy Kardashian girls. I will be catching up on their lives tomorrow. Sometimes, it makes me feel so normal. hehehe

During my first weeks in blogging, I became hooked on posting different topics and reviews of sorts. I poured all my thoughts in the blog and began exploring the other features of the blog. I liked so much that I even post at least five topics in a week. My writer side blossomed but somehow my blog looks so dull. I began exploring the other add ons in the site and then I stumbled upon different templates and themes of a blog.

I never had any background on website design and even doing codes for html makes my nose bleed. I tried customizing the background color, the fonts and whatever that fancies me. I began to search for free template codes for my blog site and found lots of them. I love all of them but I took so many attempts and changes before settling down on a black and pink theme with feathers. I know it looks so girlish but I like its dark but cute appeal. I can really relate to the topic in webarticles.com. It talked about the theme framework and the different sidebars functionality in a blog.

I don't really understand the codes and html topics but I would definitely agree on the article that theme should go well with the blog functionality. I can't wait to share this article with my friends and other bloggers out there.

I have a certain fascination with Princess Diana. I have her two autobiography books-Diana and Jackie and The Last Words-Diana. I makes me feel so blessed even though she's the princess. At a certain point in her life, she felt trapped and betrayed. I felt pity after reading a few chapters of her autobiographies. I am still fascinated by her life and how she handles the pressure. She still remains over gorgeous and exuding with sex appeal and confidence.

My mother's the arranger at home but I am more on the visual touches at home. I don't know but she just go with the flow. She doesn't consult anyone if she makes any arrangement at home. I sometimes go home in shock because she already rearranged the living room. I really like the tip in the articleinput.com on the topic on before you begin decorating at home. I used to have a guitar when I was in high school. It's a fad that time and I envy all my classmates strumming their guitar during school breaks. It's cool to be part of the hip and cool group. I hinted my father to buy me a guitar, he did granted my wish. I began practicing only to find out that really don't like guitar that much. It's crazy practicing all day and never getting the guitar chords right.

During summer break, my cousin would stop by the house and play all day on my guitar. It must have worn out my guitar, that some of the strings were broken. Eventually, the guitar broke into pieces due to some arrangement done at home. Nowadays, kids can learn how to play their guitars online. I miss my guitar so much but I don't know if I will still have the eagerness to learn though online tutorial. I have my other online obsession though, it's watching movies online.

I find it hard looking for movies in the video store especially if its classic and famous movies. I then search online for my favorite movies. So easy and will still give you the brilliant features an original DVD copy will. It just need patience to download the movies in order to share them to your family and friends.

As you grow older, your preferences and hobby will also differ. They will sometimes become complicated or more varied than before. It will surely make time worthwhile just like what I am doing right now-downloading the Sherlock Holmes movie for viewing later with my family. ciao!

TRIP TO BUKIDNON-FINALLY!

One of our 2009 plans is to go to Bukidnon. Unfortunately, we canceled it due to some important events. Finally, last April 9, 2010 we headed to Bukidnon to experience country living at its purest. We met at Pryce Tower at around 5:00am then traveled to Bukidnon at around 6:30am. The weather's fine but it looks gloomy that day. We had our first stop at Monastery of the Transfiguration in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.

Secondly, we traveled to Edlimar Spring Resort in Maramag, Bukidnon. (By the way, the owner of the resort is Tin Pangilinan's relative.)

By the time we arrived at the resort, Lyka won't stop taking pictures of us. Eric candidly took a picture of Lyka happily taking picture of us. We hurriedly changed our clothes and took a dip on of their nine(lang naman) pools in the resort. It was so cold but very rejuvenating for us. It made us relax after the long trip we had. It was such a long trip but it's really worth it and living the country life for a day made us feel so worry free and candid!!!*wink*

My recent trip to Cebu and Bohol packed not only fun but also candid moments as well. Some were caught on camera but lots of them were not. My girlfriends are not fond of candid photos. They want them perfect if possible. I was caught off guard wth this picture. I really wanted to touch the snake but I maintained my distance because of the fear that it might bite me.

The picture above was taken in Baclayon Church. It looks candid but it was staged. It must be candid because I want to.hehehe. The church was so amazing and they follow strict rules on proper dressing. My tank top didn't pass the gates of Baclayon Church(also Loise who wore shorts).

Some of my close friends don't know that I am not a full pledge Catholic. I am a practicing Catholic but I am not officially part of the community. I have been planning this event since last year but stopped going to the seminar on the last 3 months of the year. It made my catechist, Ate Duds anxious. I told her that I have been busy in the office due to seminars, travel and the Christmas preparation etc.

Luckily she texted me and told me that we will go back to our catechism. I felt relieved because I thought she gave up on me. Hehehehe. I also got excited when I learned that there are 4 other adults who will also apply for baptism and confirmation..

Ate Duds adjusted my schedule and she sees to it that we will all be baptize today.

This morning, at around 9:30 am Philippine time. I became a full pledge Catholic. I thank my two godparents, Te Alma and Te Rorie-who at last minute became my ninangs. Thank you for attending my baptism and confirmation.

My blog is my sometimes my other source of income. I get paid through my reviews about certain product and anything else the advertiser wants to promote. The characters of this series are inter connected with each other and I always watch this series because of the "Bratinella" wife of Stefan(Kim Sung Soo) played by Kim Ga Yeon. She's really a bitch but she's the kind of character that you hate soo much but her character gets in your blood( you will miss her bratiness).

I am already hooked on it and I am looking forward on what the bitchy wife is going to do with Ellaine in the next episodes.

I almost forgot if I did really notice the camera here but we are actually lounging in SM Iloilo and eating Crazy Crepes.( Actually, kami lang ni Dennies Joy kay out of curiosity lang tawon!)
We were killing the time before heading back to our place in One Lourdes Dormitel.

( Note: Actually, we don't have any idea what jeep to ride back to our place. Kaya we just waited for Charina's text reply before heading back home!hehehe)

The crepe is very delicious but I felt bad thinking-I should have bought the one with an ice cream. Hahahaha.

This candid photo of mine with my dear friend, Dennies Joy is in Summer Place Boracay. We had our first night gimik and even the rain didn't stop us. As far as I could remember, it was my cocktail night.

I had pineapple sling, a bit of Bailey's shake, margarita, and finished half of DJ's Mai Tai drink. By the time we got home, I am soo sleepy already. Good thing, I have good friends with me that night.

In case you are all wondering what the hell happen to me??? I am okay..I'm a bit lazy this past few months. I am also setting up another blog which I will spill the details later on.

I am excited and at the same crossing my fingers on my new activity. I am slacking on my blog posts and I know that if my blog could only scream- it would scream "Kill me or else I will commit suicide".hehehehe.

I will not delete my two other blogs but I will certainly make another one..
Still thinking though what good topic to post..

DBM issues guidelines for granting of performance bonus to state workers
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 12, 2008 | LABOR AND WELFARE

Manila -- Budget Secretary Rolando G. Andaya Jr., has issued on December 11, 2008 Budget Circular No. 2008-5 to implement Administrative Order No. 250 signed by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on December 10, 2008.

Pursuant to AO No. 250, all personnel of the Government are entitled to receive a one-time reward of a maximum of Ten Thousand Pesos each as performance bonus, in recognition of their commendable effort in attaining efficiency in government operations, despite the economic difficulties which may arise as a result of the global financial crisis.

Secretary Andaya said that all permanent, temporary, casual or contractual personnel of national government agencies including government owned and controlled corporations and government financial institutions whose salaries are charged against their Personal Services allocation and who are still in service as of November 30, 2008, are entitled to receive the performance bonus.

The Performance Bonus will not be granted to personnel of NGAs, GOCCs and GFIs who have already received extra cash gift or additional benefit in Fiscal Year 2008 over and above the year-end benefit authorized under RA 6686, as amended by RA 8441 as implemented by Budget Circular No. 2005-6 dated October 28, 2005.

The DBM shall release, the amount of P7,000 per employee of NGAs not belonging to the Constitutional Offices/Fiscal Autonomy Group, chargeable against the unreleased appropriations under the Fiscal Year 2008 budget which was pooled by DBM for the purpose.

The remaining Performance Bonus requirements of P3,000 per employee of NGAS shall be charged against their respective savings in allotment. In the event that the agency savings is insufficient to coven in full the remaining P3,000 per employee, DBM said, that payment thereof shall be subject to the amount available as savings provided that a uniform amount shall be given to all employees.

The total requirements of P10,000 per employee of NGAs belonging to the CFAG like congress, CSC, Judiciary, COA, Comelec, CHR and Ombudsman, shall be charged against the available savings in allotment. In the event that the CFAG does not have sufficient savings to cover in full the P10,000 per employee, payment thereof shall be subject to the amount available as savings provided that a uniform amount shall be given to all employees.

For GOCCs and GFI, the amount needed shall be charged against their respective corporate funds.

Those who are not entitled to receive the Performance Bonus are government personnel who are absent without leave; those who have been hired not as part of the organic manpower of agencies but as consultant or experts; student laborers; apprentices; laborers of contracted projects; those whose remuneration are not taken from the budgetary allocation for Personal Services; those who are formally charged with administrative cases as well as criminal cases which relate to acts or omissions in connection with their official duties and functions and found guilty, except when the penalty is a mere reprimand.

The performance bonus of government personnel detailed with another government agency or special projects, shall be drawn from their respective mother agency. In the case of those paid from project funds, the Performance Bonus shall be drawn from the same source where they draw their salaries.

The performance bonus of government personnel employed on a part-time basis shall be pro-rated corresponding to the services rendered.

For personnel who transferred from one agency to another, their performance bonus shall be granted by their new office.

Government personnel who have received any unauthorized extra cash gift or additional benefit or allowance prior to the issuance of the Circular shall refund any excess of the amount herein authorized or shall be entitled to the difference if they receive less than P10,000. (PIA 8)

We are not going to be entitled by performance bonus announced last Friday by the President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.

If I remember it right, a performance bonus was also released last 2007 stating the same guidelines and all contractual employees of the Fund (known as the agency-hired contractual employees) are happy of the good news and only to find out that we are not part of the said "performance bonus". It turned out that the term contractual in the guidelines refers to the casual employees of an agency. We must have misinterpreted it but the term "performance bonus" says otherwise.

They should have called it "government employee bonus" because non entitlement of the "performance bonus" is just like saying you are not performing under the agency you are in. There are almost 30 personnel in our office who are agency-hired and we are hoping to be absorbed by the company we are in but due to the slow movement of the organizational structure, it became unattainable for us. I am merely stating the facts what is happening in the regional offices and it would also be guide to the management ( if they have or have no idea that agency-hired employees exist).

As much as we want to be treated equally like the regular employees in the benefits aspect, in the end it will just be a dream. We just want to be recognized as part of the Fund that we are working in. We want to grow and be motivated. I am writing this to let other people know that working in a government is not a bed of roses ( as my neighbors think) but it means WORK!!

JOLLI-BEE HAPPY!!

Its Jolibee once again..Jollibee has been part of our office since Family Day 2008 at the People's Park opening. I was about to laugh when I heard the news the it is going to be in People's Park. but I didn't expect that I will be awed by the place.(Note:You should have seen People's Park before, it's way far from what it is now) The kids had fun and we had the chance to take pictures with Jollibee and in the People's Park grounds. We were joking that the picture is for Friendster purposes (actually, it is true..this picture is in my Friendster account.hehehe).

This coming December 18, 2008, our office will have Salo-Salo at the Office to have a uniform celebration for the entire office around the Philippines. Funny is that for the first time, we will start the Salo-Salo simultaneously with other branches. So I am expecting TV screens and live feed of the Salo-Salo.Hmmmm..very high tech na ang Pag-IBIG Fund.

Due to the global economic crisis, the management decided that instead of spending the budget to have a glamorous and expensive party, we will just have a Salo-Salo at the office and feast on Jollibee. All the Hawaiian ideas disappeared and I am saying adios to Pearl Farm Marina.huhuhu.

Anyway, I believe that Christmas is not measured by the gifts you receive, the foods at your table or how expensive is the venue of your party. I think it is the togetherness and love of the people around you. We should set aside whatever misunderstandings we have in the past and move on. Share your love to others and be a friend to them. I just wish we always celebrate everyday as if it was Christmas and I hope that I'll never get tired of Jollibee.

TWO MOVIES IN A WEEK...AND STILL THINKING

Can you imagine what I looked like last Wednesday when I saw in the movie billboards, Bolt! and Twilight? My eyes are beaming with delight and I can't wait for Thursday.

I have been waiting for this two movies and I am very eager to watch. I remember my friend, July talking about a cartoon movie. Later I found out that she was talking about Bolt! and I got very excited. Come Saturday, I had a chance to see on TV the making and a glimpse of the movie. I learned that Miley Cyrus will voice Penny( Bolt's owner) and John Travolta as Bolt!. Cool!

The story was about a dog named Bolt, which was adopted by a girl named Penny. They became stars but all the scenes in the TV series were made for Bolt believe that he was a super dog with extraordinary powers. Bolt really believed everything especially the scene where Penny was kidnapped by the green eye villain. Due to his eagerness to rescue Penny, he jumped out the trailer and was accidentally shipped to New York City. He wanted to find Penny but on the way, he met a cat named Mittens, who looked like the sidekick of the green eye villain. He insisted that they must go together to find Penny and the villain. On the way to Hollywood, they met Rhino( the hamster) who is fanatic of Bolt!. He watched all Bolt! TV episodes and begged for Bolt to let him come with him. Their friendship was tested on the way but they never left each other. Bolt then learned that he was not super at all and he has no super powers. The journey to Hollywood taught him to know himself more and learn that friendship is very diverse.

I wasn't disappointed at all. It was hilarious and the characters were all cute. (especially the hamster even though it kinda look old.) I like the animation, the story and the learnings of the movie. The kids in the moviehouse didn't laugh as much as I did. hahaha. I like the super hero attitude of Bolt! and the bravery of Rhino(the hamster). The laugh of Rhino still echoes in my mind..hehehe.

Today, I realize that not all things are bad. You may think that the world has turn its back on you and that the only way is to give up. We may see situations negatively but others feel that you are lucky. Sasabihin mo na " Kung alam mo lang..." to let them know that it is really okay.

How do you really define contentment and happiness? How about stability? They say that man is never contented. Once you get what you want, you will find another thing na naman that you want. The process is never ending and it doesn't stop until you stop it. Happiness also differs depending on a person. Others find happiness in family, in GOD, in food, in friends and even the most simple things. Mahirap talaga i-explain yet we find this essential in our life.

I remember being caught with the question.."What is stability for you?". I personally don't know. In work, mainly it is the security of tenure. That is stability for some but I knew people who have worked their ass out yet, in the end the benefits reap in their retirement is not enough. For love, some says it is the term of the relationship. I can say it is not the mere factor to stability. This topic is the long debated topic in our office nook. hehehe. Ewan basta mahirap din i-explain ang GUGMA

We are responsible for all the actions we make and someone told me recently that whatever I do must be according to what I envision myself. Contentment cannot be measured by how rich you are but how you value what you have. Happiness is finding light even in situations that are really pitch black and lastly, Stability is being aware of the opportunities around and strong attitude that you can stand after each fall.

So I am shrugging off all negative thoughts and make each day an opportunity. I should look at my goal and see to it that what I am doing is leading to it. Make the most of the day and be responsible for my actions.

I am really thankful for the wonderful person that gave me such wonderful insight. I didn't considered her offer but what she offered me was a chance to know and dig myself. That moment a lightbulb light up and it made me lighter.

FOR THE FIRST TIME....

I am not going to share to you my first crush, my first kiss or whatever chessy stuff I have in mind...I am going to share my upcoming FIRST and my feelings about it . Okay, my first first is the wedding of a good friend where I am going to be a bridesmaid. Yes, you heard it right..It's my first. Some of my college girlfriends haven't married yet ( I don't know when they will settle down but we have been betting on each other, who will be the first.LOL). I felt happy and yet nervous about the idea walking down the aisle. (feeling bride?) hehehe. Anyway, charge it to experience ika nga nila. Hoping to post some of the pics here in the future.

My another first is riding an airplane. We will be celebrating Araw ng Davao 2009 in Boracay. For many years, I am always here in Davao during this celebration. Go to Kaan Dawet, party with friends and watch the parade etc etc...

This time I am going out of town for a change. Due to some overprotective reasons of my parents, I haven't tried riding an airplane/travel on a plane before. Call them weird but their just protective of their unica hija(?). Since we already booked the flight and I am estatic about it.. they just let me do it. Ang dami kung rason like "Kelan pa pala ako mag tratravel if matanda na ako".. and also " Chance ko na ito, mura lang ang flight at Boracay pa!" hehehe. Any first time expereince can make you nervous big time.

Travelling makes me nervous...but, Boracay? It makes me giddy. I have been dreaming of Boracay ever since I know that the island exist. Super wish and dream ko talaga ito. We have been planning our itinerary in Boracay and Iloilo. We want to make the most of our summer 2009 visiting places. I know..I know it's 3 months away but I believe that it pays to be prepared than sorry in the end. I really hope things will turn out smoothly. I also hope that we will have fun and having friends around makes me wanna let loose. Hoping to meet new friends along the way (wink, wink) and also memories to cherish forever. This is gonna be FUN!!!

I found this video while looking for my old pictures in my computer. This is one of the extreme things I have done so far but I am proud that I made it. This is the back version of the zipline plunge. I was nervous and don't know what to think or do. The front version is easier because you get to see what is ahead of you but this one, makes you uneasy. This is really worth trying but a word of caution: Be ready for the sudden impact of your butt in the water.hehehe.

This place is awesome. I definitely will go there again with friends.I will certainly take the plunge and shout my lungs out. Extreme Samal is located in Kaputian, IGACOS. It's a 30 minutes pain in the butt ride from Babak. I suggest you arrange a jeep to wait for you so won't experience the pain-in-the-butt moment. I love the scenery in Kaputian but I can't take pictures while riding habal-habal. I would recommend this place because it is a unique bonding place, has extremely wonderful facilities and the owner, Mr. Murrel is very accomodating.

Definitely a must try when you go to Davao City especially Island Garden City of Samal.

WALKING ON SUNSHINE

This is the Pearl Marina bridge that I am walking on and you have to pass by this bridge in order to reach Pearl Farm. You might be thinking that I going to Pearl Farm but nope, I am not but for whatever reason, our Christmas party will be held in Pearl Farm Marina. It is like the universe saying that I will be going to Pearl Farm soon.(hehehe.Assuming kaau).

Anyway, I liked the place and I don't know if there are new facilities in the Marina but I am sure that I will enjoy the party. It is supposed to be Summer in Christmas. I overheard that there will be fire dancers, floating candles, parasols by the beach and reggae/bossa nova music. I can't hardly wait for it..Ohhh wait, I have to find a dress for the event. Ciao! I want to be a kid again so that I can have the excuse to wear Halloween costumes and get loot bags with goodies.hehehe.

Last October 30, 2008, our office partied with kids for the Halloween "Trick or Treat" party. There were lots of treats and tricks(I mean, magic tricks) for kids.

The kids were adorable and they had fun while receiving treats. They also feast on party foods like ice cream, chocolate fondue, hotdogs and popcorn.YUM..YUM.. Too bad the adults will have to purchase party foods if they are hungry.huhuhu.

It is one heck of a party because kids are all over the office after their party. Good thing, few clients only visited the office that aftternoon.

Here we are, clowning around the decorations after the party. It is nice to be kid again even for a day. (FYI: The devil horns I am wearing was purchased in Gensan. A steal for only Php29 and it lights up!hehehe)

MY MBS2 EXPERIENCE-GOING TO GENSAN 10.25.08

This is my first Mindanao Bloggers Summit. The funny thing is, I realize that I didn't print my MBS2 pass yet.huhuhu. It's already past midnight and decide to search on "24 hour internet cafe in Davao City" on Goggle. Good thing, there is one in Bonifacio St. My mind is still awake but I need to sleep. I haven't pack my bags yet and don't have any idea what to wear. I set my alarm at 3:30 am so that I can have time to go to Bonifacio St. before heading to our meeting place at McDonalds umbrella.

I got up early(earlier than my parents-HIMALA!) and had only 3 hours of sleep. I don't want also Junelle and Mam Tes to wait for me. My heart is beating fast too. What if that internet cafe is no longer there? or what if it is not open yet?huhhuhuhuh. Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for a miracle. Haaayyy, salamat was the word my mind said out loud when I reached Bonifacio St. I quickly printed my pass and hailed a cab.

I reached McDonalds' umbrella just in time for a quick breakfast. I waited for Junelle and then it started to rain. Ok, fast forward...We reached the bus terminal at around 6am. We calculated that we will reach Gensan by 9am. (Yikes! we're an hour late for the registration). The bus ride was okay except that the air condition made me shiver. I managed to sleep a little in the bus.

We reached Gensan and my heart is beating fast again. My mind is racing and asking " Are we late?" or " What if people will stare at us while entering the room in the middle of a speaker's speech?"

Thank God, the registration is still on going by the time we reach the convention center. I bet nobody noticed that we were late.hehehe. We settled in front to get a glimpse of what is in store for us. After a few minutes, the program started...

I CAME. I SAW AND CONQUERED GENERAL SANTOS CITY

I went to General Santos City to attend the 2nd Mindanao Bloggers Summit last October 25, 2008. Bloggers from different parts of Mindanao gather to learn, promote Mindanao awareness and get to know each other well. We registered at around 9am and everyone was already there. Soo many people and some face were a little bit familiar. The Summit lasted for day and the learnings are worth it. I am in awe with so many personalities around me and diverse talents.

After the summit, we visited the KCC Mall of Gensan and I bought some stuff which I forgot to bring.hehehe. (Trivia: While riding the motorcycle, we learned from the driver that few taxis only roam around the city. Once you board one, don't forget to get the calling card of the driver because you can't find a taxi around the city when you need one)

We had dinner at Family Country Hotel and after that, we danced the night away. Even though I am exhausted, I still managed to post something on my blog that night. Then off I go to bed after all the fun.

I woke up early because I am sooo excited. The Sunday itinerary was fun. We visited Gensan Fishing Port to catch the action and be amazed of all the gigantic bariles in the port. (FYI: The fishing port was well maintained because I didn't saw a single fly around the fishes. Squeaky clean huh?)

Now this place is breathtaking. The first thing that came into my mind when I saw this is a wedding reception . Hahahaha. Do I hear wedding bells? Nah...

You can see the horizon and marvel at the wonderful landscapes. I can stay in this place forever but with WIFI access (of course). How can let the world know what I feel if I can't blog?.hehehe.

I love this place but too bad, time is up. We have to move on to the People's Champ house and be amazed again.( I have a different post for Manny Pacquiao's house.Please watch out for it.) Ciao!

This picture was taken at the DigitalFilipino Club Fellowship Night. We attended the event because we learned that Ms. Janette Toral, the author of Blogging from Home book will grace the event. We really admire her and we want to learn more from her. It is the first bloggers event that I attended. I had so much fun but expected that it will last up to eleven in the evening.

The food was great and the people are so warm. PAGCOR sponsored the event and even gave away coupons in the raffle. Too bad, I don't the rules in the casino.hehehe. The event finished past 8pm and we stayed for a while to listen to the band. Charles took this picture while we are lounging and talking at the back. Thanks for the wonderful candid shot, Charles.

It was still early when we left so we decided to try the coffee shop in Damosa. Anyways, we ended the night by saying goodbye and promised to myself that I will buy Ms. Janette Toral's book one of this days.hehehehe.

THE WIFI SEARCH IS OVER

Did I mention last night that I am going to NCCC Mall Maa? I am blogging from here and I was seriously happy when I learned that the booth was set up in the entertainment area. It screams WIFI connection all over the place.

We arrived early and I hurriedly set up my laptop but only to find out that I cannot connect to the Globequest connection. Huhuhu. I felt bad and I am bored to death too. Anyway, I just entertained clients who passed by every now and then. Hahaaay.

Well, I don't give up people. I went to search all over the place to get the WIFI connection I needed. Together with Charina, (who recently purchase a WIFI phone that spells SOSYAL) we went to Globequest to ask for a passkey. They didn't give us any but it was a blessing in disguise too. She checked her phone and said that there is a LINKSYS connection. Hehehhe. I grinned and I told her to try and connect. The finale, we connected with LINKSYS but we end up in the 3rd floor near the Pasta and Pancit tambayan.bwahahaha. Now I am here busy fiddling with my laptop and sipping whatever-I-don't-remember-the-name shake. Ciao!

HOUSING FAIR 2008

I am here staring at my laptop right now and looking at pictures from the 2nd Mindanao Bloggers Summit held in General Santos City. I am cooling down with ice cream but still waiting for it to melt. I love melted ice cream. I just can't explain why.

HALLOWEEN MASK

The Halloween decorations are already placed in our counter and we wasted no time and took pictures in front of our horrific mask. Bwahahaha. Do you recognize the man behind the mask? Hmmm, I bet you won't. He is our very energetic manager, Manolito Olegario. He posed with the mask and we didn't bugged him to do it. hehehe. He was probably amused hen he passed by our counter and saw us taking pictures.

I was partly happy and shocked when he posed with us. He is a very serious manager and don't always mingle with others. You rarely see him laugh and jokes around when he is in good mood. It changed my perception of him and I hope he continues to mingle with us.
